It’s equipped with an 18.3 kWh battery that produces 323 PS and 550 Nm with an AWD drivetrain, and a 1.5-litre petrol motor. The twin-motor all-wheel drive system ensures that the car can reach 100 km/h in around 4.5 seconds and has the performance to attract customers from this category.
BYD eMax 7
The eMax 7 carries an affordable price tag of Rs 26.90-29.90 lakh, filling the family transport segment as an electric MPV. It seats seven, and targets those who were considering the Toyota Innova HyCross or Kia Carnival, but prefer to opt for electric. Leapmotor: Three EVs Supported by Stellantis
The company, Leapmotor, is making its debut in India through a unique model: distributed and assembled by the global parent of the brand Jeep and Citroen — the company Stellantis. The assembly will be done at Ranjangaon plant which implies that the products will be available at competitive prices through CKD.
Leapmotor B10
The B10 is a smaller version of the LEAP 3.5 platform electric crossover. It will be a direct rival for the BYD Atto 3 and the MG S5 EV, and will be available in two battery versions: a 56.2 kWh battery version with a range of 510 km and a 67.1 kWh battery size with a range of 600 km. The local assembly in Ranjangaon should ensure that the price remains competitive, but the official price will be released soon.

For the Indian buyer what does this mean?
This is the largest number of launches in the past in this 15-year period. Chinese manufacturers are no longer satisfied with being niche players, as they now target the entire market, from as low as Rs 10 lakh EVs to the as high as Rs 70 lakh electric SUV coupe.
They are coming in on a piece-by-piece basis, with high-tech batteries, top-of-the-line cabins and neck-in-neck prices, and finally competing with Japanese and Korean brands, if not Europeans. Indian customers, in turn, are the best they have ever been – they have more options, more tech and more value for their rupee than ever in the country’s auto history.
